Meet some of our certified professionals:
DCP Mr. Daniel Ali Gwambal
A serving member in the Nigeria Police Force, has a whopping 29 years of policing experience in Administration, Investigation and Training with expertise in Operations. He has vast experience in Peace Support Operations, and is a veteran of four United Nations Missions:
• United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL)
• United Nations Integrated Mission in East Timor (UNMIT)
• United Nations Intergrated Peacebuilding Office in Sierra Leone (UNIPSIL).
Mr. Gwambal is currently on secondment with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) as AMISOM Police Operations and Formed Police Unit (FPU) Coordinator, and has been since 2017. He was awarded his CCTP certification in June after successfully passing eligibility requirements, followed by our rigorous and accredited online examination.
We welcome Mr. Gwambal to the community and applaud his efforts in continuing his critical security work around the world.
Mr. Hassan Abdullahi
Hassan received his CCTP certification in December 2019. In Kenya, he worked for about 14 years in the police service, seven of which were in counter-terrorism investigations.
Hassan served in the African union mission in Somalia (AMISOM), in the police component as a counter-terrorism trainer before joining the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) as an Operations Associate. In this role, he is currently a consultant supporting the AMISOM Police in IED threat mitigation through non-lethal tactical engineering and trainings. Responsibilities include advising the AMISOM police senior leadership on the evolving terrorism threat and tactical conditions affecting the mission.
Hassan has a Masters in International Relations and is currently a PhD candidate in Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Nairobi.
Michael Haughey
Mr. Haughey is a recognised risk and crisis management expert with over 30 years of experience in both the public and private sector. He has also had more than 25 years of experience living and working throughout the Asia Pacific, and is currently based in Singapore.
After 13 years of police service, Michael spent the next 20 years running risk management consultancy groups in the Asia Pacific with both global and regional responsibilities. Roles include:
• Head of South and South East Asia for a leading global risk management consultancy group, leading their operations in Singapore, Jakarta, and Mumbai
• The founder and CEO of a boutique risk management consultancy
• Head of APAC and Global Head of the corporate investigations practice of a leading global crisis and response group.
He specialises in corporate investigations, security, crisis management, response, cyber, product contamination and recall, kidnap, ransom and extortion.
Michael is also an Advisory Board Member of the Certified Counter Terrorism Practitioner Board.
